When I picked "persist" for my word back in January 2012, I truly didn't know how often I would have to use it. I overbooked myself with travels and in the fall, was barely home. Although I was able to teach my art to over 600 people this year all over the United States, it was at times challenging in finding the motivation to come home, pack then leave again immediately. The teaching is always rewarding because I love to see the growth, discovery and excitement in the students no matter what medium I am teaching. Persist helped me make it through a long year of doing what I needed to do but it also awoke the artistic side on what do I really want to do. It has brought a lot of clarity on what matters and how I want to live my life as an artist. So thank you "persist" for being there when I needed you. I will always appreciate what you did for me but today I will be moving on to a new, different adventurous word "forward."
Goodbye 2012, Hello 2013 - Happy New Year!
