This little jewel is part of a bigger colored pencil rendering called Circle of Color but it is my favorite of the five butterflies/moths featured. I just love the contrasting tail and reflective wings. The colorful antennae also caught my attention when browsing the many field guides I have. I wished this attractive moth called the Large Green Aporandria was from this area but unfortunately they are from the Indo-Australian region. I know I would love to see a group of them in flight or on the flowers - can you imagine the striking image that would be?

Little Green Jewel
This little jewel is part of a bigger colored pencil rendering called Circle of Color but it is my favorite of the five butterflies/moths featured.
