Crab Apple Beauty

The prairie fire crabapple is by far one of my favorite trees come spring time. The blossoms are a fiery red magenta that are just a sight to see. Imagine a whole tree covered with this lusciousness and you have the picture, just fantastic. I love it at all the stages but in full bloom it can't be beat. I loved the way the sunlight is dappled around the branches in this photo, adds such a great bright spot of light!

Cherry Bliss

This lovely photo is of our cherry tree, it was spectacular this year! The beautiful colors reminded me of a vanilla and cherry sundae hence the name I have given it, cherry bliss. Backyard Blooms

I just had to share all the wonderful blooming trees in our yard this May. From left prairie fire crabapple, red maple, white crabapple (two of them next to one another) foreground curved hawthorn, lilac to the right. Just a glorious site this year!
